Valhalla, NY - The SUNY Orange baseball team was defeated by Westchester Community College in the first round of the Region XV playoffs, falling 8-0.
Westchester took the lead in the second inning, scoring two runs. The Vikings extended their advantage in the fourth inning with two more runs to make it 4-0. Westchester added another two runs in the fifth inning and scored twice again in the sixth to secure the 8-0 victory.
Garrett Srednicki (Warwick, NY / Warwick) got the start for the Colts, facing 21 batters while allowing three earned runs and recording five strikeouts. Gavin Rounds (Montgomery, NY / Valley Central) made an appearance in relief, facing 14 batters, allowing two earned runs, and adding two strikeouts.
