Valhalla, NY – The SUNY Orange men's soccer team fell to the Westchester Community College Vikings on Thursday afternoon by a final score of 7-0. With the loss, the Colts drop to 1-4-1 on the season, while the Vikings improve to 4-1-1.
Westchester opened the scoring in the 18th minute and held a 1-0 lead through the remainder of the first half.
In the second half, the Colts defense struggled to contain the Vikings attack, allowing six more goals. SUNY Orange ultimately suffered a 7-0 defeat.
Goalkeeper Dominic Vega (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley)faced 12 shots on goal and recorded five saves.
The Colts will look to bounce back on September 30 when they host Rockland Community College. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
