Middletown, NY – The SUNY Orange men's soccer team came from behind to earn a 3-1 victory over Rockland Community College on Tuesday afternoon. The Colts improve to 2-4-2 and the Hawks drop to 0-7.
Rockland got on the board first, as Ibrahim Sharif found the net in the 9th minute to give the Hawks an early 1-0 lead.
The Colts responded in the 35th minute when sophomore Dylan Finn (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville) buried a free kick to even the score at 1-1 heading into halftime.
The Colts took control in the second half. Freshman Alan Macas (Middletown, NY/Middletown) gave Orange the lead in the 58th minute with an unassisted goal. The match was put out of reach in the 88th minute when freshman Kensito Felix (Saint-Marc, Haiti/Nouveau Millénaire) scored off a well-placed pass from Finn, sealing the 3-1 win for the Colts.
Next up, the Colts are on the road to face Nassau Community College on Thursday, October 2. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
