New York, NY- SUNY Orange fell to Borough of Manhattan Community College 8-0. With this loss the Colts drop to 2-7-2 on the season as the Panthers improve to 5-3-2.
The Panthers came out strong, scoring five goals in the opening 40 minutes. Waseem Mohamed opened the scoring in the 9th minute, followed by a penalty kick from Aiolos Zervas in the 14th. Roje Richards added two more goals in the 15th and 19th minutes, and Mohamed scored his second of the match in the 39th, giving BMCC a 5-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half the Panthers did not let up adding three more goals. Boubacar Barry found the net in the 59th minute, followed by a goal from Gabriel Querevalu in the 68th. Roje Richards sealed the game in the 74th minute with his third goal of the match.
Freshman Dominic Vega (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) recorded two saves on 10 shots on goal.
The Colts return home to face Dutchess Community College Thursday, October 9. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
