Middletown, NY- SUNY Orange men's soccer team dropped a home match to Dutchess Community College (3-1). The Colts are now 2-8-2 on the season as the Falcons improve to 4-7.
The Falcons opened up the scoring in the 15th minute when Justin Domer found the back of the net.
SUNY Orange responded in the 33rd minute thanks to freshman Kevin Chimborazo (Newburgh,NY/Newburgh Free Academy), who scored off of a great pass from freshman Alan Macas (Middletown, NY/Middletown), leveling the score at 1-1.
The Falcons quickly responded just four minutes later, with Domer scoring again in the 37th minute to restore their lead. Dutchess carried a 2-1 advantage into halftime.
In the second half, Dutchess maintained control. Domer completed his hat trick in the 60th minute, sealing the 3-1 win.
Freshman Dominic Vega (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) had seven saves on 10 shots on goal.
Looking ahead, the Colts are back in action Tuesday, October 14 at 4:00 PM as they face LaGuardia Community College.
