Colts vs the County College of Morris Titans
SUNY Orange Colts hosted the Titans for their last game of the 2025 regular season.

On Tuesday April 29th the SUNY Orange Colts hosted the County College of Morris Titans. Splitting the two game series after defeating the Titans 5-0 in game one and then in game two fell just short of the come back losing 5-4.
Going into this contest #24 Gianna Catletti looked to add another milestone to her resume, striking out 186 batters and looking to make history by reaching 200 on her career.
Catletti struck out 11 batters as the starter led the Colts past the Titans, Gianna allowed just two hits and zero runs over seven innings pitched. The Colts got on the board first in the bottom of the very first inning after Lindsay Keane hit an RBI single and immediately followed by a fielders choice that drove in a run to make the score 2-0.
The Colts finished with a total of 12 hits as a team. Catcher #9 Lindsay Keane led the way for the Colts, going 3-for-3 at the plate. Emily Ketcham, Hannah Moulton and Caroline Farrell each collected multiple hits in the game. Sydney Benware, Rayanna Quintana, Julia Sorrentino and Lindsay Keane each hit one RBI.
Defensively the Colts played perfectly as they did not commit a single error on the field with Lindsay Keane getting 11 putouts behind the plate.
Making her second appearance on the mound Gianna Catletti was three strikeouts away from 200 strikeouts. In game two the Titans were the ones to to get on the board in the top of the first inning. As the Colts found themselves trailing for five and a half innings until Lindsay Keane smashed a lead-off double and when came around to score the tying run coming from a Sydney Benware single.
With the score tied after seven innings of play the Colts go into extra innings for the first time this season.
In this game neither team was able to gain the advantage over their opponent as their was just two runs scored through eight innings of play.
After the first scoreless inning of extra innings the Titans come back up to the plate in the top of the 9th inning. Bringing life to the game scoring four runs on four hits with the biggest blow coming from a two-out homerun to give the Titans a 5-1 lead. With what could be the Colts last chance at extending the game the #9 hitter Caroline Farrell makes her fifth plate appearance, smashing the first pitch she saw into deep right field for a lead-off double. Caroline would soon come around to score after Lindsay Keane smashed her second double of the game also advancing Emily Ketcham into scoring position. After back-to-back RBI singles from Gianna Catletti and Sydney Benware the Colts found themselves trailing by one run and one out.
Unfortunately the Colts were unable to complete their 9th inning comeback as they ended up losing 5-4 to the Titans despite out-hitting their opponent 13-7. After pitching 3.0 innings Gianna Catletti solidified her name in the history books, striking out four batters Catletti finishes the regular season with 91 strikeouts and reached 201 strikeouts over two years as a pitcher. Sydney Benware came in for relief and earned the loss, throwing for 6.0 innings Benware allowed four runs on five hits while striking out eight batters.
Sydney Benware and Lindsay Keane led the way for the Colts as they both finished the game going 3-for-5. Keane led the way for the Colts with two runs and Benware led the way with two runs batted in as they were a lethal one two punch in the middle of the line-up. Madeline Roberts and Julia Sorrentio each collected multiple hits for the Colts.
Wrapping up their regular season with a 16-10 record. The Colts will travel to West Virginia to take on the Catamounts of Potomac State on May 3rd.
