Bio

Jeannette Convery is entering her 14th season as the Head Coach of SUNY Orange Women’s Volleyball Program. Since taking over the program, she has compiled an overall record of 153-121, captured seven Mid-Hudson Conference championships, and guided the Colts to 11 Region XV playoff appearances. 

During the 2025 season, Convery led the Colts to a 10-11 record, earning the No. 3 seed in the Mid-Hudson Conference Tournament and the No. 6 seed in the Region XV Tournament. Freshman Angelina Rivera and sophomore Lily Noteboom were both named to the Mid-Hudson All-Conference First Team, while sophomore Camryn Benjamin earned Second Team honors. Rivera also received All-Region First Team recognition, and Noteboom was selected as a Region XV Honorable Mention. In addition, Avriel Padua was named to the Region XV Sportsmanship Team.

In 2024, Convery guided the Colts to a Mid-Hudson Conference Championship. Following their conference title run, the Colts advanced to the Region XV Championship Tournament, where they reached the quarterfinals before falling to Queensborough. Sophomore Alivia Torres was named Mid-Hudson Conference Player of the Year and earned Second Team All-Region honors. Freshman Lily Noteboom was also selected to the All-Region Second Team.

Convery’s 2019 squad successfully defended their title as back-to-back Mid-Hudson Conference Champions, finishing the season with a 14–9 record. 

During the 2018 season, Convery guided the Colts to a 18-6 record, and Mid-Hudson Conference Championship, with Cassidy Smith earning Mid-Hudson MVP honors.

In 2016, Convery led the Colts to another Mid-Hudson Conference Championship and a No. 4 seed in the Region XV Championship Tournament.

Convery’s 2015 squad finished with a 12–12 record, capturing the Mid-Hudson Conference Championship and earning the No. 6 seed in the Region XV Championship Tournament.

In 2013, Convery led the Colts to their first Mid-Hudson Conference Championship under her leadership as head coach.

Prior to becoming the head coach at SUNY Orange, Convery served as an assistant coach for the Colts in 2010 and 2011. 

Convery played for the Colts in 2008-2009 while playing for the team she earned First Team All-Region, Region XV All-Tournament and First Team All-Conference honors. She currently holds the school record for most serving aces in a season and in a career.  

Convery has a Masters Degree from Capella University in Psychology - Applied Behavioral Analysis, and a Bachelor's Degree from SUNY New Paltz in Childhood Education. 

Convery resides with her husband, Joe, and they have three children.
