Colts vs Skylanders of Sussex County

The SUNY Orange Colts played in their first game of the New Year as they took on the Skylanders of Sussex County and will be looking to kick off the new year with a win. 

In a consistent first and second half the Colts scored 42 and 43 points for a final score of 85 points to Sussex County's 75. Throughout the whole game the Colts were shooting the ball very well as they shot close to 50% from the field (48.4) along with their stellar defense to prevent them from scoring the ball on the other end. 

Freshman, #1 Marquis Gill (Middletown, NY)  was tonight's leading scorer. In 38 minutes of playtime Gill scored 23 points, grabbed 3 rebounds and came away with 2 steals on the defensive side.

Freshman, #2 Mat Shea (Wallkill, NY) was the second highest scorer on the team by just 2 points. Shea scored 21 points, dished out 2 assists, grabbed 5 rebounds all in 34 minutes of play. 

Sophomore, #3 Jared Smalls (Middletown, NY)  has continued to do what he has done all season  as this was his 5th game where he completed 10+ assists and of those 5 there has only been one game where he had 5+ turnovers. Smalls played 36 minutes came away with 6 steals on the defensive side he also grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 10 assists.

Sophomore, #24 George Patsalos (New Windsor, NY) scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as this makes it his 6th game with a recorded double-double and has only played in 10 games total of the 18 that were played.
