Pacciarelli Named Region XV Athlete of the Month

SUNY Orange freshman Anthony Pacciarelli (Monroe, NY/St. Joseph Regional) was named NJCAA Region XV Athlete of the Month in Men's Basketball for the month of November, as announced by Region XV Thursday.

Pacciarelli has led the 16th ranked Colts to an undefeated 8-0 record in November, leading the Colts in scoring at 21.8 points per game and second in rebounds at 5.8 per game. Pacciarelli scored 23 points in his season debut against the now 7th-ranked Monroe Community College on 11/15. He recorded a 21-point, 12-rebound double-double against Westchester on 11/18, then scored 29 points in only 18 minutes against LaGuardia on 11/22, hitting seven threes in the first half and finishing 8-11 from three-point distance. He followed that up with a season-high 36 points against Rockland on 11/25. Through six games, Pacciarelli is shooting 48.4% from the field and 52.5% from three-point distance.

Pacciarelli currently ranks 20th in the nation in points per game among NJCAA Division II athletes and 23rd in the nation in three-point percentage.
