Middletown, NY - SUNY Orange men's basketball fell short against Monroe Community College 74-63. The Colts fall to 13-2 while the Tribune's improve to 17-3.
Monroe jumped out to an early lead, but the Colts stayed relentless to keep the game close. By halftime SUNY Orange trailed by just one point. Coming back from the break the Colts briefly took the lead, but Monroe came back and regained control of the game.
Freshman Anthony Pacciarelli (Monroe, NY / St. Joseph) and Sophomore Darren McFarlane (Bronx, NY / Monsignor Scanlan) combined for 42 points. Paccarelli recorded a double-double with 21 points, 10 rebounds adding two assists, and one steal. McFarlane contributed 21 points with nine rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block.
The Colts are back in action for a home game against Hostos on Tuesday, January 13. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
