Anthony Pacciarelli Named NJCAA DII Player of the Week
Middletown, NY - Freshman Anthony Pacciarelli (Monroe, NY / St Joseph) was named NJCAA Athlete of the Week after a dominant stretch that pushed the Colts to a 3-0 record for the week. Pacciarelli averaged a double-double, 37.3 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, while also adding four assists and two steals per game.
Pacciarelli opened his week against Hostos Community College, scoring 33 points on 9 -17 shooting while adding a career high 13 rebounds.
He followed up with another outstanding performance against County College of Morris, where he set a new career high of 38 points, and 13 rebounds.
Ending his week with a record breaking performance against Jamestown Community College. Pacciarelli broke the school freshman single-game scoring record with 41 points, shooting 55.6% from the field and 50.0% from three-point range.
Pacciarelli currently ranks third in the nation in points per game, and 11th nationally in total points.
