Colts vs Skylanders of Sussex County

Tonight the (5-8) SUNY Orange Colts will take on the (6-9) Skylanders of Sussex County as both teams are coming off of losses and are looking to get back into the winning column.

Jaylen Soltani was able to get things started for the Colts by scoring the first basket of the game.

Comeback victory for the Colts as they entered the 4th and final quarter down 40-33 and did not retain the lead they first had at the very beginning of the game. After a 24 point 4th quarter they were able to secure the lead coming from the likes of Taniyah Montgromery and Jaylen Soltani who scored game changing free throws to give the Colts the lead with less than 10 seconds left and with the heroic defense from Liliana Ramirez who came away with the game sealing steal to prevent the Skylanders to even the score.

There were four key contributors to the game as 4 players earned 10+ in either points or rebounds.

Freshman #10 Jaylen Soltani was the leading scorer of the game as she finished with 19 points and also tallied 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

Sophomore, #3 Liliana Rameriez ended the game with a game saving steal to add to 3 total steals, grabbed 10 rebounds, blocked 3 shots and scored 8 points 

Freshman, #11 Eva Bloom stepped up in a big way as she scored her season high in points with 11 points, also dished 2 assists and grabbed 3 rebounds.

Freshman #45 Zyone Wright grabbed her season high in rebounds as she came down with 12 total rebounds, 7 offensive rebounds and 5 defensive.
