Women’s Basketball Takes Down Rockland
Rockland, NY - The SUNY Orange women's basketball team took down Rockland Community College 60-50. The Colts improve to 2-14 while the Hawks fall to 0-1 on the season.
The Hawks jumped out to an early lead and maintained control throughout the first half, taking a 22-19 advantage heading into halftime. Coming back from the break, the Colts made key adjustments that shifted the momentum of the game. SUNY Orange outscored the Hawks 41-28 in the second half, pulling away to secure a 60-50 victory.
Freshman Madison Olsen led the Colts with 16 points, seven rebounds, two assists, five steals, and one block. Freshman Jada Reed (Eldred, NY / Eldred) added 12 points, nine rebounds, three assists and six steals.
Next up, the Colts return home to face Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Science on February 3 at 6:00 PM.
