Women’s Volleyball Takes Down Rockland Community College
Suffern, NY- The SUNY Orange women's volleyball team dominated the SUNY Rockland Hawks on Thursday night by a score of 3-0. The Colts move to 2-2 on the season and the Hawks drop to 1-5.
Orange wasted no time setting the tone, taking the first set with a dominant 25-7 win.
The Hawks pushed back in the second set, but the Colts stayed steady and pulled out a 25-20 win to secure a 2-0 lead.
The third set was all the Colts once again, taking the set with a 25-10 victory and concluding the match with a 3-0 sweep.
It was a strong game for Freshman Angelina Rivera (Paramus, NJ/ Minisink Valley) who led the team with 14 points, eight kills and six digs. Freshman Janis Miola (Monroe, NY/ Monroe-Woodbury) contributed nine points, nine kills and five digs.
The Colts are back in action as they play host to Ulster County Community College on Thursday, September 25. The match is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
