Women's Volleyball Sweeps Ulster County Community College in Straight Sets
Middletown, NY – The SUNY Orange women's volleyball team overpowered Ulster County Community College on Thursday night with a 3-0 sweep. The Colts improve to 3-2, while the Senators drop to 0-4.
SUNY Orange opened the match with intensity, establishing control early. The Colts took the first set with a score of 25-16.
In the second set, SUNY Orange elevated their level of play even further. Ulster struggled to find rhythm, and the Colts took full advantage, closing out the set with a dominant 25-10 win.
The final set was SUNY Orange's most commanding performance of the night. With strong teamwork and minimal errors, the Colts secured a 25-7 victory to complete the sweep.
Freshman Angelina Rivera (Paramus, NJ / Minisink Valley) had a standout performance, leading the team with 15 points, nine kills, and three digs. Sophomore Lily Noteboom contributed 14 points, nine kills, and three digs of her own.
The Colts return to action on Saturday, September 27, for a tri-match, taking on Bronx at 12:00 PM and Hostos at 1:30 PM.
