Women's Volleyball Overpowers Bronx and Hostos

Middletown, NY- The SUNY Orange women's volleyball team swept Bronx Community College and Hostos Community College. The Colts move to 5-2 on the season. 

Match One- SUNY Orange (3) - Bronx (0)

The Colts dominated the first set, limiting the Broncos to just three points and taking the set 25-3. In the second set, the Broncos showed more fight, but SUNY Orange remained steady and closed it out 25-13. The third set was the most competitive, but the Colts held their composure to secure a 25-15 victory, completing the 3-0 sweep.

For the Colts, sophomore LilyNoteboom (Goshen, NY / Goshen) led the team with 14 points, including three kills and two digs. Freshman Angelina Rivera (Paramus, NJ / Minisink Valley) contributed nine points, five kills, and six digs.

Match Two- SUNY Orange (3)- Hostos (0)

The Colts came out strong, establishing control and taking the first set 25-12. In the second set, the Caimans put more pressure on the Colts, but the Colts kept up the pressure and took the set with a 25-17 win. The third set remained close, but Orange's consistency paid off as they clinched the set 25-16, completing another 3-0 sweep.

Rivera had 19 points, seven kills and nine digs. Noteboom contributed 12 points, six kills and six digs.
