Women’s Volleyball Sweeps Dutchess Community College
Poughkeepsie, NY – SUNY Orange delivered a dominant 3-0 sweep over Dutchess Community College on Tuesday night. With the win, the Colts improve to 6-2, while the Falcons drop to 6-5.
In the opening set, SUNY Orange set the tone early, dominating from start to finish and securing a 25-15 victory.
The second set was the closest of the night, with the Falcons coming back with some energy and fighting hard to stay in the game. However, SUNY Orange kept their composure and took the set 25-19.
By the third set, the Colts showed no signs of slowing down as they wrapped up the match with a 25-17 victory completing the 3-0 sweep.
Sophomore Lily Noteboom (Goshen,NY/ Goshen) and freshman Janis Miola (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) led the team offensively. Noteboom led with 13 points, 11 kills and seven digs while Miola contributed 11 points with five kills and three digs.
Next up, the Colts will hit the road to face Borough of Manhattan Community College and the Fashion Institute of Technology. The matches, scheduled for 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM, will take place at Dutchess Community College.
