Troy, NY- The SUNY Orange women's volleyball droped match to Hudson Valley Community College (3-0). With this loss the Colts drop to 8-4 and Hudson Valley improves to 18-0.
In the first set, the Colts battled early but struggled to find their rhythm. Hudson Valley took the set 25-12.
In the second set, Hudson Valley continued applying pressure, taking the set 25-9.
The third and final set followed a similar pattern. Hudson Valley took full control, jumping out to a commanding lead and closing out the set 25-5 to complete the 3-0 sweep over the Colts.
For the Colts, freshmanAngelina Rivera (Paramus, NJ/Minisink Valley) recorded four points, four kills, and five digs.
Next Up, the Colts return home to host Nassau Community College and Monroe College–Bronx. Matches are scheduled for 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM.
