Middletown, NY – The SUNY Orange women's volleyball team fell to Westchester Community College on Tuesday night. With this loss, the Colts drop to 8-7 on the season, while the Vikings improve to 14-3.
Westchester came out strong in the first set, dominating and taking it 25-17.
In the second set, the Vikings continued to set the tone of the match, winning 25-16.
The third set was a back-and-forth battle. The Colts fought hard and took the lead multiple times, but they were unable to close it out. The Vikings took the final set 25-22, completing the 3-0 sweep.
For the Colts, freshman Angelina Rivera recorded 13 points and 10 kills.
Next up, the Colts are on the road to face Queensborough Community College and Kingsborough Community College on Saturday, the 18th. The matches are scheduled for 12:00 and 1:30 PM.
