Women’s Volleyball Falls to Dutchess in Mid-Hudson Conference Tournament
Poughkeepsie, NY- The SUNY Orange women's volleyball team was defeated by Dutchess Community College in the Mid-Hudson Conference Tournament on Thursday night. The Colts are now 9-9 on the season.
In the first set, Dutchess came out strong and capitalized on mistakes. The Falcons took the set 25-18.
The second set was a back-and-forth battle, but Dutchess pulled ahead late to take the set 25-22.
The third set the Colts came out ready and gained momentum. They took the set with a dominant score of 25-13.
The fourth and final set was much like the first set, the Falcons finished the set with a 25-18 taking the match with a 3-1 win over the Colts.
For the Colts freshman Angelina Rivera had 16 points with 12 kills and six digs. Sophomore Lily Noteboom had 13 points with eight kills and nine digs.
Next up, the Colts finish their regular season play on Saturday, October 25 on the road at Dutchess to face Bergen CC and LaGuardia CC. The matches are scheduled for 12:00 and 1:30 PM.
